Veterinarians
Dr. Wendi Lilly-Bare graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS in Biology. She attended veterinary school at Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama. She returned home to Columbia where she lives with her husband, Blake, their two daughters Elena and Anastasia, their dog Lokie, their cat Mr. Pickles and their fish.
Dr. Jamie Breland is a South Carolina native who graduated with a BS in 1998 and then a MS in 2000 from Clemson University. He then completed his DVM degree at Tuskegee University in 2004. His wife Deborah is also a 2004 graduate of Tuskegee's veterinary program. Dr. Breland has special interests in general practice, surgery and preventative care..
Dr. Emily Hoppmann grew up in Columbia and graduated from Cardinal Newman High School before receiving a BS in Biology from the University of South Carolina. For veterinary school she attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with an emphasis on small animal and exotic animal internal medicine and surgery. After graduation, she practiced in Goose Creek, SC, but has happily returned to Columbia to join our doctors at Two Notch Road Animal Clinic and Pet Friends Veterinary Clinic. She has a special interest in exotic animal medicine, dermatology, and oncology.
Dr. Molly Shirley graduated from the University of Kansas where she received her B.S. in Biology in 1996. She then attended veterinary school down the road at Kansas State University. After receiving her DVM degree, Dr. Shirley traveled to Reading, California to complete a one year medical and surgical internship. She stayed on as a general practitioner there for the next three years before moving to Columbia, South Carolina in September 2005 to reside with her husband. Dr. Shirley enjoys general practice with a special interest in internal medicine, toxicology, and radiology.
